History

The Boringville Clocktower was built in 1911 as a gift to the community from philanthropist Lambert Lambert, inventor of the octopod. The gravity-powered clock machinery was built by the E. Howard Clock Company of Boston. The tower stands 44 feet and five inches tall. The tower originally had water fountains on the east and north sides.
